Stanley #4 (War Era)

This plane was in pretty decent condition with only a liitle rust when I piced it up but it had a cracked tote.

Here is what it looks like after I restored it. As was common with many of the war planes it has some mismatched peices. The tote is rosewood but the knob is hardwood. This indicates that this plane was made when they still had a stock of rosewood totes left but had run out of the rosewood knobs. You will also notice the combination brass and plastic depth adjuster knob.
